IEM5 Russian qualifier groups drawn

The groups for the Russian Intel Extreme Masters 5 qualifier has been announced, seeing two groups of four.

The qualifier will kick off tomorrow morning at 09:00 CET, seeing two groups play it out in a best-of-one format, whereof the top two teams will advance to the playoff stage. 

Whichever team manges to seal first place will advance directly to the European Championship's main round, while the second-place team will move on to the second qualifying round, and lastly, the third-place finishers will access the first.

The groups are as listed below:

The newly-bolstered team of Iron Will will see its debut tomorrow, having added three former USSR members to their ranks, along with Johan "F_1N" Kochugov.

Another strong lineup in Group B is MECTb, which also features two former USSR members, Sergey "hally" Shawano and Nicholas "mNR" Kirpichev. Playing alongside them is Vladimir "redman" Tarasov, who once donned the colors of EYESports in late 2009.
