FiRENATION win WCG Azerbaijan

FiRENATION will be the Azerbaijan representative for World Cyber Games 2011, following their victory against C2H5OH zlo in the qualifier final.

Azerbaijan has had a team in the Counter-Strike competition at WCG for the past three years, with F.azer.Z representing the nation previously.

This year's qualifier for WCG 2011 concluded this past weekend, held by the National Association of Computer Games at the Park Inn hotel in the capital Baku.

The qualifier was played best-of-three maps, in a single elimination bracket, seeing 15 teams participate. It ended up with FiRENATION and C2H5OH zlo facing off in the qualifier final, both coming into the match without dropping a map.

FiRENATION stayed undefeated and did not drop a map in the qualifier final either, with victory on de_train and de_tuscan, booked the spot for WCG 2011 in Busan, South Korea.
